- "I grew up
in a musically oriented family. My father's orchestra
was quite popular in the Central Ohio area and was a
major influence in my musical development. At the age
of five, I began trumpet lessons and by high school
had an extensive and diverse vocal and instrumental
background. Numerous rhythm and blues bands, and jazz
ensembles, transitioned to a fascination with bass
guitar, which remains to this day. Enrollment in the
Columbus, Ohio, Rock n' Roll Hall of
Fame
was the
highlight of a marvelous musical
experience."
